A Suppers Program experiment, moderated by Pat Palmer
Spring cleaning isn’t just for basements — our bodies can benefit, too! Come learn about a Supper Programs moderated group vegan cleanse that kicks off on Monday, May 7, 2018. Instead of fasting, the group will try eating only raw vegetables and fruits for a week. This is not a starvation regimen — you’ll get delicious nutriments throughout each day, including juices, smoothies, and salads. Try this cleanse with the Suppers moderated group for a week or a day or as long as feels right for you.
In this talk, Pat Palmer will give details about the cleanse, including which vegetables may be difficult to digest in raw form (some may surprise you!), how to prepare for the cleanse, sample menus, effects you might experience (easy and otherwise), variations for people with special concerns or intolerances, and how to get and share support with others during the experiment.
This cleanse is based on the “28-Day Detox Diet” described by author Anthony William in the book Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal. A brief description of the plan is also online.
PAT PALMER has been a Suppers Program facilitator for macrobiotic meetings for the past three years. She grew up in a family that raised and preserved its own food and cooked at home. She turned to macrobiotics to help recover from an illness, and has studied macrobiotics with Denny Waxman at the Strengthening Health Institute in Philadelphia, as well as via extensive reading.
